Breaking! Chelsea Reportedly Closing In On Deal Worth Up To £65 Million!

Chelsea fans all over the world are obviously proud of their club currently.

They have  watched their side return to the top of English football under the masterful stewardship of new Italian boss Antonio Conte.

While the season started off somewhat mixed, the former Juventus manager has guided Chelsea back to the summit with what seem like a relative ease, leading them towards another league crown.

Crucial to that has been the sparkling form of Spanish striker Diego Costa who, despite a link with a move away last month, has been at his very best this season.

New reports from the Sun will sure make those supporting the west London club glad.

The Sun claimed that the Spanish forward is now set to agree a new deal at Stamford Bridge. It was additionally added that the deal see him earn up to 57 million Pounds over the course of the five-year agreement.

It was claimed that the former Atletico Madrid forward will earn a whopping £220k-per-week, as well as bonuses potentially taking it up to 65 million pounds. If it comes into reality, the deal would officially make him the club’s highest-paid player.

And even being expensive, many Chelsea supporters will sure acknowledge that he is worth it.

Chelsea Star Beaten For January

Kenya player Victor Wanyama has beat off both Chelsea’s Nigerian international Victor Moses and Ivorian star Yaya Toure to be named English Premier African Player of the Month for January.

Wanyama sure had a good January with his side Tottenham, marshaling their defensive midfield and helping his side become a strong contender for the EPL crown this season.

His side still conserve the record of the team with the best defence in the Premier league.

Wanyama’s performances included a sterling display against current league leaders Chelsea, handing them a first defeat in 14 matches at White Hart Lane.

He last won the award in September 2015 when he was still at Southampton.
