Yannick Carrasco

Chelsea is planning an audacious move for Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco, according to reports.

Reports in the Spanish outlet, Don Balon has suggested that the Blues are considering a sensational move for the Belgian winger who is believed to be keen on a move out of the Spanish capital.

Atleti is also set to lose Antoine Greizmann and Kevin Gameiro to Manchester United and Paris Saint Germaine. Chelsea will have to meet Atleti’s £86m valuation of Carrasco whose current contract spans till 2022.

The 23-year-old winger joined Atletico Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2015 for £17 million and has impressed for the Spanish side scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances for the club and Belgium. Carrasco will join fellow countrymen Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard at the Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is understood to be considering moves for several reinforcements in the summer as he looks to build his first team that presently appears thin.

Chelsea has continued to impress in the Premier League this season in Conte 3-4-3 formation so far despite their slow start to the current campaign but the club’s hierarchy wants to add more players to the current squad in a bid to have a more formidable team.
