£97m Real Madrid Agreement Close For Chelsea Star

13-time European champions Real Madrid are close to reaching an agreement for the summer transfer of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.

This is according to various media reports across the European continent.

Eurosport revealed that the Champions League holders are closing in a summer transfer for Belgian international star Hazard.

It was stated that the transfer would cost the Los Merengues to the tune of £97m.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has already told Eden Hazard that he can leave the West London club and that age is no longer on his side.

The Italian coach talked about the former Lille player in his pre-match thoughts ahead of the Bournemouth clash in the Premier League.

Sarri and his Chelsea team crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night.

The result ensured that Chelsea dropped out of the Champions League places on the Premier League table.

Eden Hazard has been heavily linked with Real Madrid dating back to last summer when he had a very good outing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The 28-year-old could be the replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid after the Portuguese superstar left the club for Italian Serie A club Juventus.
