Premier League Champions Chelsea started the week with an important 2-1 win away at Leicester, with goals from Spaniard Alvaro Morata and Frenchman N’Golo Kante earning the three points for Chelsea, before they scored six against Qarabag in their opening UEFA Champions League group stage game at the Bridge on Tuesday.
That win already gives the Blues a good lead at the top of their group standing, and importantly it increased their winning run to four games in all competitions, although that run ended on Sunday afternoon as they were forced to a goalless draw by cross City rival Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Nonetheless, Chelsea’s attentions now turn to the Carabao Cup home encounter with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, and the Championship side will arrive with full confidence having won six of their nine games this season, including their second-round victory away at Premier League side Newcastle United a month ago.
Notwithstanding, the Blues will go in as favourites to seal a fourth-round spot, and here we look at the starting eleven which could thrash the second tier club away at Stamford Bridge.
Possible XI: WILLY CABALLERO; CESAR AZPILICUETA, ANTONIO RUDIGER, ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN; DAVIDE ZAPPACOSTA, DANNY DRINKWATER, CESC FABREGAS, MARCOS ALONSO; PEDRO, WILLIAN, MICHY BATSHUAYI.

Poor journalism. Do your research - the first rule of journalism. Danny Drinkwater is injured so I think your starting XI is pure folly.
