Chelsea are currently four points behind Manchester United, and Jose Mourinho will hope he can increase the gap when he clashes with his former side at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday at Old Trafford, and also earned all three points against Benfica on Tuesday in the Champions League.
And as far as the team news is concerned, Jose Mourinho is expected to make a few changes in the starting eleven that won the Portuguese side on Tuesday.
Although Chelsea were thrashed 3-0 by Roma a few days ago, Mourinho won’t undermine the premier league champions at Stamford Bridge, and will obviously field his best stars.
With Spain international David De Gea staying in-between the sticks, we expect the Portuguese boss to use the likes of Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling at the heart of the defence, with the duo of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia taking care of the wing-back positions.
Then, Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic should partner Spanish international Ander Herrera in the center of the park, while Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are likely to start behind lone striker Romelu Lukaku.
Here is Jose Mourinho’s strongest possible 3-4-2-1 starting XI vs Antonio Conte’s side
GK – De Gea
DC – Jones
DC – Bailly
DC – Smalling
ML – Young
MC – Matic
MC – Herrera
MR – Valencia
AC – Rashford
AC – Mkhitaryan
FC – Lukaku
