Revealed – Why Manchester United Lost Out On Highly Rated Brazilian To Manchester City

It has been revealed that Gabriel Jesus was presented a bigger offer by Manchester United, much more than Manchester City but the striker decided to pitch his tent with the blue side of Manchester because he liked the idea of being coached by Pep Guardiola.

Gabriel signed a contract with Manchester City in the summer but will join the club in January after completing his loan move at Palmeiras at the end of the year.

The 19-year-old Brazilian has been dubbed as “the new Neymar” and for some time was one of the most wanted youngsters in the last transfer window.

Manchester Evening News reports that apart from Manchester United other top clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid were also interested in having the talented youngster at their clubs.

The report goes on to state that Manchester United even presented Gabriel with a huge offer including better salary and an overall better deal than Manchester City but the Brazilian still went on to reject the offer.

Gabriel believed was that working with Pep Guardiola will be a boost for his career and that moving to Manchester City will be a good decision on his part. His agent Giovanni Branchini would have looked at the situation critically and felt he would have a better chance of developing at Manchester City with Guardiola in charge.

To prepare for Gabriel’s move to City, a delegation will come over to Manchester next week and it is believed that the young striker will come along with his mother in January.
