Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League after failing to impress at Barcelona.
The Brazilian joined Barcelona from Premier League leaders Liverpool in a deal reported to be around £142m.
According to Spanish media outlet Sport, Manchester United have pulled out of the race thereby leaving the likes of French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea.
