Man Utd Ruled Out Of Race To Sign £142m Chelsea Target

Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly been ruled out of the running for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

This is according to reports emanating from the media in Spain.

Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League after failing to impress at Barcelona.

The Brazilian joined Barcelona from Premier League leaders Liverpool in a deal reported to be around £142m.

According to Spanish media outlet Sport, Manchester United have pulled out of the race thereby leaving the likes of French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea.

Earlier reports claimed that Chelsea view Coutinho as one of the numerous options to replace wantaway Blues talisman, Eden Hazard.

Belgian international Hazard has been touted as a possible transfer addition for outgoing European champions Real Madrid.

The Los Merengues are plotting a big money move for Eden Hazard this summer in their bid to carry out major surgery on the playing squad at the club.

Real Madrid recently reappointed Zinedine Zidane as their manager and he’s saddled with the responsibility of signing quality players like Eden Hazard.

Chelsea talisman Hazard has been in very good form for the Blues this term in their quest for honours in both the Europa League and the Premier League.
