Following the performance of new Arsenal recruit, Bernd Leno in the Thursday Europa League win against Vorskla, Unai Emery gave a hint on who will be the new first-choice goalkeeper for his side. The North London club brought Leno from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer to add to the competition at the pole. The young keeper was tipped to beat competition from Petr Cech but that did not happen as he was left to the bench in all the 5 Premier League games played so far. Why Leno will remain on Arsenal bench
There are already concerns over the non-appearance of new Arsenal signing, Bernd Leno as his wait for a debut still lengthens. Arsenal captured Leno from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer for a fee of £22m but has yet to see a competitive action so far in this season. Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown feels it will be difficult for Leno to replace Petr Cech in goal at the moment, due to his form. Although, the new pattern of play under Unai Emery which allows a build-up of an attack but his saves also and his experience gives him an edge over the new goalkeeper.
