Big concerns for Arsenal over Iwobi’s fitness
Arsenal are having fitness concerns for Super Eagles Alex Iwobi who might be out of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa in Johannesburg. Iwobi alongside Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong and Brighton’s Leon Balogun did not participate in Eagles’ full training as it is alleged that they have all suffered knocks which places them as doubts ahead of the game. About three European clubs expressed their delight in seeing the Super Eagles thrash Libya by 4-0 in the 2019 African Nations Cup Qualifiers on Saturday. Former Watford striker Odion Ighalo had extended his goalscoring form in the Chinese League to the national team with his sweet performance as he saw the back of the net three times, making it the first hattrick of his career. Carl Ikeme ready for coaching role after early retirement
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, is now ready for a coaching role after his disappointing and early retirement from active football. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers goalie was just inline to make it to the World Cup that was recently concluded in Russia before he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in July 2017.
