Arsenal defender Rob Holding has disclosed that Southampton's opening goal in the EFL Cup quarter-final clash between both sides was key to the eventual outcome of the game. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that fans were right to boo his players during his side's 2-0 loss to Southampton at the Emirates Stadium in what was the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. It was a shambolic first half performance from the Gunners and they were subsequently booed off by their fans with scores at 2-0 in favour of Southampton courtesy goals from Dutch international Jordy Clasie and English left back Ryan Bertrand.
