Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is facing another injury lay-off after sustaining a groin injury on Wednesday the club confirmed. Kompany left the pitch before full-time of the 2-1 EFL Cup third-round win against Swansea, his first appearance in four months after sustaining the same problem in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on May 4. Tottenham have announced defender Kyle Walker has signed a new five-year contract with the club, which sees him stay at Spurs till 2021.
