The Gunners management are reported to have handed just £40 million to engage in the summer transfer window with a number of additions expected as well.
It is, therefore, the bid of the club to return to winning ways and also challenge for titles in the coming season but the former player has joined other pundits to cast doubt over the possibility.

Robert Pires made it clear that his former team’s bid to win the English Premier League title will only be a dream if they will not go beyond the £40 million that has been allegedly allocated, stressing that it isn’t enough to engage in the summer window.
He noted that a good team is needed to challenge for titles and no good team can be assembled with the said amount.
While admitting that he cannot challenge the decision of the club management and owners, Robert Pires made it clear that they need to spend more to get results, noting that all big clubs spend big to assemble quality players.
