Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is said to be on the transfer shortlist for midfielders at Premier League giants Manchester City according to the publication from The Manchester Evening News (MEN).
The 22-year-old is on a three-man midfield shortlist for the Citizens as they try to beef up their squad in the midfield ahead of the new season billed to start in two months’ time.
Tanguy Ndombele has been a key player for Lyon in the past two seasons and it’s not surprising that several clubs are on his trail including Chelsea.
The Blues were previously linked with a move for the French international but the threat of a transfer ban has seen the interest wane in recent weeks.

Chelsea are at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) after they appealed the FIFA ruling of a two-window transfer ban for misgivings relating to the signing of players under the age of 18.
Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Manchester United are also interested in Tanguy Ndombele.
Premier League champions Manchester City see him as a long-term replacement for the ageing Fernandinho though Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri is their first choice.
The aforementioned publication revealed that Rodri has a €70m release clause at Atletico Madrid and Manchester City are confident that they can sign him for less.
The duo of Tanguy Ndombele and Real Madrid midfielder Diego Llorente are backup options.
