Lyon skipper Nabil Fekir has been told that he can leave the French Ligue 1 giants during this summer’s transfer window.
According to outspoken Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, Nabil Fekir can end his six-year association with the Lyon first team this summer.
He was speaking shortly after Lyon came from two goals down to beat Nimes 3-2 away from home in what was the French giants’ last game of the season.
Nabil Fekir has been attracting the interest of several clubs like Premier League giants Liverpool since the start of last season.
The Lyon skipper came close to joining Liverpool in the summer before the move was called off by the Reds.
The Champions League finalists had agreed on a £53m deal for his transfer before pulling out of the deal as a result of concerns over his knee on the long-term.
Nabil Fekir recovered from that setback to play a big role for France as they conquered the whole world at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Lyon this season.
In total, Nabil Fekir has scored 69 goals in 192 appearances for the French Ligue 1 giants since his debut in 2013.
Apart from Liverpool, the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also been touted as possible transfer destination for the French international player.
