Spanish champions Barcelona are preparing for a major overhaul of their squad this summer in the wake of the Champions League semifinal collapse against Liverpool on Tuesday night.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, as many as 10 players could leave the club in the summer.
It was revealed that both defender Jeison Murillo and forward Kevin-Prince Boateng will go back to their clubs Sassuolo and Valencia respectively this summer after their various loan spells.
Defender Thomas Vermaelen will leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.
The aforementioned publication also revealed that Barcelona would sell substitute goalkeeper Jasper Cillesen if they can get €30m and also let winger Malcom leave the club as long as they recoup €35m from the €41m spent on his transfer from French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux last summer.
Other players like Rafinha Alcantara, Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Philippe Coutinho will be sold if they get the right transfer fee for them.
Barcelona are still smarting from the 4-0 loss handed out to them by Premier League side Liverpool who will contest the Champions League final with Tottenham Hotspur after seeing off the Spaniards 4-3 on aggregate in their semifinal tie.
Liverpool had earlier lost the first leg 3-0 but they were able to redeem themselves in the second leg on Tuesday night.
