Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has urged Mauricio Pochettino to make a change in the goalkeeping area of the team after the latest mistake from Hugo Lloris against the Reds at the weekend.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were heading for a share of the spoils before French World Cup winner Lloris fumbled the ball into the net off Toby Alderweireld on the stroke of full-time to give the Reds a crucial victory in the title race.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino had earlier given the hosts a 13th minute lead before fellow Brazilian Lucas Moura equalised for Spurs in the second half.

Jermaine Jenas is an ex-Spurs player turned pundit and he told BBC Sport that it’s time for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino to give a new goalkeeper the chance after recent mistakes from Hugo Lloris.

The former Nice shot-stopper has not had the best of seasons for Spurs after winning the World Cup title with the French team last summer.

His form has been shaky since the start of the season and that has played a big part in Spurs’ recent run of one draw and four defeats from their last five games in the Premier League.

The poor results have seen them drop from title chasers to Premier League chasers.
