West London giants Chelsea are facing the threat of Premier League rivals Liverpool in their bid to sign Barcelona winger Malcom following the news that the Reds have made the Brazilian player a top priority ahead of the summer’s transfer window.
French media portal Le 10 Sport claim that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that they can sign Malcom in the summer.
The 21-year-old has previously been touted as a possible signing for Chelsea either on loan or on a permanent basis.
He was strongly linked with both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.
£50m-rated Malcom has not had the best of times at Spanish La Liga Champions Barcelona since he joined them from French Ligue 1 club, Bordeaux, last summer.
He moved to the Nou Camp controversially at the start of the season in a €41m (£38m) deal after coming close to joining Italian Serie A giants AS Roma.
Barcelona hijacked his transfer from under the noses of the Italian Serie A club who knocked out the Blaugrana in the quarterfinals of last season’s Champions League.
Malcom recently scored for Barcelona in the El Clasico.
The Brazilian winger equalised for the Spanish champions to secure a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the first leg of their Spanish Copa Del Rey last four clashes.
