Liverpool’s probable line-up against Leicester City

Liverpool resume their field quest for first Premier League trophy in more than a decade with a tricky fixture against Leicester City on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp continues to face injury setbacks, however, there was good news for him during the week as Joel Matip has been declared fit and good to feature against the Foxes.

Here is how the Reds’ starting lineup is going to look like in a 4-2-3-1 formation

Alisson (GK)
The former Roma goaltender has been an ever-present in Klopp’s starting XI and won’t change in Wednesday’s clash.

Fabinho (RB)

Injury crises made Klopp convert the Brazilian to a full-back and he’s doing fine. He is set to retain his place at the right-back position.

Joel Matip (CB)

The Cameroonian is back from injury and he’s expected to return to the line-up — just as he did against Palace — due to Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez’s injuries.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The inspirational Dutchman is reportedly a major doubt for the game, however, a last-minute fitness test will determine if he would play or not.

Andy Robertson (LB)

Robertson is doing great at the moment, his untiring runs at the flank will be needed against the speedy Foxes. He will surely occupy the left-back position.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

Though not as convincing as before, the England international will lead the team out to the pitch later tomorrow due to injuries rocking the team.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutchman is back to full fitness after missing Crystal Palace game and he’s ready to regain his spot in Klopp’s starting eleven.

Xherdan Shaqiri (RW)

He has never looked back since his first game at Anfield. The Swiss continue to grab his chance and he will start against Claude Puel’s men.

Roberto Firmino (SS)

The Brazilian will feature as a playmaker, creating chances for the strikers to score. He is one of the untouchables, therefore, he’s sure of a place in the team.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Another untouchable player in Klopp’s team, the Senegalese is doing well at the left wing of attack and is place is guaranteed.

Mohamed Salah (ST)

The Egyptian is scoring goals for fun and he will hope to find the back of the net on Wednesday.
