Jurgen Klopp has finally turn down the chance to capture 20-year-old prodigy

Liverpool were almost beaten by Crystal Palace on Saturday as they conceded the first goal of the game but the Reds managed to record a massive comeback to win 4-3.

Goals from Mohammed Salah ( brace), Sadio Mane and Sergio Firmino were all the Merseyside club needed to defeat the rampant and determined Crystal Palace to remain at the top of the League table.

Irrespective of the Reds struggles at the middle of the park during the encounter, the Jurgen Klopp as decided to pull out of the race to sign USA youngster Weston McKennie.

The midfielder was linked with a summer switch to the Anfield outfits by the Sun. The British media said Liverpool are likely to submit a £20m bid for his signature in the next transfer market.

However, Evening Standard are saying otherwise as they suggest that Klopp and Michael Edward, who is the Liverpool’s Sporting director, have turned down the chance to capture the 20-year-old star.

The media outlet believe the German tactician is happy with the number and performance of the midfielders at his disposal, hence, he’s not interested in bolstering the position in the summer.

Despite the Reds decision to end their interest in his services, McKennie is very much likely to make his ‘dream’ move to Premier League in the summer as Chelsea and Arsenal are believed to be keeping a close watch on him.

McKennie has played seven games for USA senior team and he has been in fine form for his Bundesliga side this season.
