English Premier League outfit Arsenal have a number of battles to fight in their pursuit for Italian Serie A outfit Juventus star defender Rogerio in this winter transfer window.

Rogerio has been on the radar of a number of English Premier League sides but the Gunners are keen to beat other competitions to land the star defender ahead of other suitors.

Wolves are reported o be in the race as well as they are keen to add more strength to be able to remain in the Premier League and not return back to the Championship from where they came.

However, the latest report hints that it has now become a three-man race with Newcastle United also readying a bid for the 20-year-old.

With Arsenal hoping to have Nacho Monreal for another one year, Rogerio could be the long term replacement for the left full-back who is already running out of age.

Rogerio is currently having a loan spell at Sassuolo but he could be recalled as soon as a meaningful offer is tabled for his signature this winter window.

However, the Gunners have been told that they will have to pay about £20 million to secure the service of the left full-back or have him continue his loan spell.
