Sarri turns his attention to 20-year-old star after ending interest in Isco

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly cooled his interest in Real Madrid’s playmaker Isco, that’s according to the Sun.

The British media outlet revealed that Sarri’s decision to pull out of the Spaniard’s signature was down to increase in salary demand by the Spanish international.

It was said that both parties had already reached a £75m (£250,000 weekly wages) deal last month, but the player’s representative surprisingly asked for increased weekly wages.

As a result of that, the Blues couldn’t continue with their desire to capture the Spaniard’s signature at the ongoing transfer market.

Meanwhile, the Italian manager has charged his employers to Intensify their chase after Borussia Dortmund’s winger Christian Pulisic.

The former Napoli manager believes the youngster is the perfect man to replace the Real Madrid player who could be joining Paris St-German later in the month.

Pulisic has been in the news for some time as his future is yet to be sorted out. The American international has fallen out of favour at the Westfalenstadion Stadium and he hardly features for the Bundesliga side this season.

Liverpool were initially linked with the 20-year-old but reports later suggested Klopp is no longer keen on reuniting with Pulisic.

As at the time of this report, Chelsea are in pole position to lure the youngster to Stamford Bridge because there are no real competitors for his signature.

Meanwhile, Sarri’s men tackle Southampton at Stamford Bridge later in the day as they hope to recreate five-point gap ahead of Arsenal in the race for Champions League qualifying spot.
