Arsenal to hijack Chelsea’s bid for this youngster after embarrassing defeat to Liverpool

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly hoping to hijack Sarri’s move for Christian Pulisic’s signature, even if it appears that’s not what the Gunners need at the moment.

The rumour is breaking out of Emirates Stadium right after his team’s embarrassing defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last night.

The Gunners were thrashed 5-1 by the Reds who were extremely handful for the North London defenders.

After the defeat, the Gunners fans claimed Emery’s eyes were opened to the fact that there is an urgent need to bring quality defenders into the team when the winter transfer market commences.

Apart from the football benefits, the Gunners stand to gain should they beat Chelsea to the 20-year-old, there are huge financial profits attached to the youngster’s signature.

As an American citizen, the North London club will enjoy massive commercial advantage should they sign Pulisic and this must be the main reason for Emery’s desperate move for his signature.

Though the Gunners are a bit depleted at the final half of the pitch due to injury to Danny Welbeck, Mkhitaryan and Smith Rowe, but they still possess some strikers capable of wreaking havoc to opponents and I see now the reason why the Spaniard should be so desperate for Pulisic’s service.

With the display we saw from the defenders last night, Emery needs to bring top qualities to the back as soon as possible.

Sokratis, Monreal, and Koscielny were easily beaten by Liverpool’s pacey and deadly strikers. The three defenders appeared too old to withstand the stressful nature of the League, hence, there is a need to introduce new, experienced and younger defender into the team in January.
