Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho is said not to deserve Manchester United because the club is bigger than him, former club defender Paul McGrath claims.
It is no longer news that United had to let the former Chelsea boss go as he failed to deliver results at the Old Trafford but rather created division and outburst with players.
However, the former player who took a swipe at the former Chelsea player stated that the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ only did all it takes to coach United so he can have it on his record that he coached a big club.
He noted that the players were even not comfortable with the Portuguese boss and his tactics which they did not fail to make public especially before his sack.
According to him, what worked for Mourinho some years back cannot work for him now because of the big changes that have occurred in the football space which is still unknown to him as an “old-fashioned” coach.
Paul McGrath, therefore, stated that any club who recruits the former United boss will be taking a big gamble as to what is delivery would be at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is still jobless and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
