Scott McTominay ahead of Pogba?

Manchester United manager José Mourinho was full of Pogba’s praise when he beat Real Madrid and Barcelona to the player’s signature in 2016.

According to the Portuguese manager during the Frenchman’s unveiling ceremony, Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world and he will be an integral part of the team.

Just as he said, Paul Pogba made his second debut for the Old Trafford outfits in a game he displayed his class and quality.

The former Juventus man shown like a million stars in his first season at Old Trafford as he helped the team win two trophies in a single season.

The player continued his wonderful and awesome relationship with his manager in the early parts of 2017-18 season.

However, things turned from good to bad between both parties as the manager surprisingly left his most expensive player on the bench, preferring inexperienced Scott McTominay.

Many thought things are going to get better between the highly controversial manager and his victim in subsequent games, but that didn’t happen throughout the campaign.

Instead, the misunderstanding became more intense that there was division among the team. Some players reportedly support the Frenchman while some decided to continue working and obeying the Portuguese man.

As a result of the internal crises at the Theater of Dreams, coupled with Manchester City’s incredible form throughout the season, Mourinho and his men couldn’t lay hold on any trophy.

They were defeated by Chelsea during FA Cup final match, leaving them with nothing to show for the season in terms of glory.

Is Pogba still needed by Mourinho?

It was believed that both parties have resolved their differences prior to the start of the campaign as the Frenchman was given the captain armband in the first match of this season when they beat Leicester City 2-1.

Pogba scored the winning goal of the night which earned him praise from the former Chelsea manager.

Mourinho’s praise sounded like things are back to normal at Old Trafford, but the peace only lasted for just a month before another intense uproar springs up.

This time, Mourinho criticized Pogba for his attitude during games. The furious manager immediately stripped him off the captain’s duty.

That wasn’t all, Mourinho has failed to feature the Frenchman in his last two matches. The Portuguese manager is reportedly not convinced of the player’s attitude on the pitch, hence, he now deploy Scott McTominay in Pogba’s midfield position.

What next for Pogba

It looks like Manchester United are doing pretty well without the Frenchman. The team have recorded three unbeaten run since his omission from the starting lineup.

Nemanja Matic is now doing good alongside the young Scottish midfielder, while, Fred is gradually justifying his price tag.

The handwriting is all written on the wall, Pogba is no longer an integral part of the team and he is free to leave the team in the next transfer market.

A move out of Old Trafford is more likely to occur in the winter transfer period as he must look to rejuvenate his career once more.

As Manchester United passionate fan, Is selling Pogba the best way to solve the crisis between Mourinho and the player? Feel free to put your comments below.
