According to reports, former European champions Liverpool have opened transfer talks with young French midfielder Adrien Rabiot some weeks before the start of the winter transfer market.
The popular English media outlet Metro revealed that the Reds have started talks with the PSG man ahead of a potential free transfer move to the club at the end of this season.
The French giants are said to be offering the Adrien Rabiot several contract offers but he has turned them down as he holds out for a move away from the French capital club.
The young midfielder is said to be infuriated with the way he has been treated by club officials.
Previous reports claim that he had already signed a pre-contract agreement with Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona who are also on the list of clubs interested in him.
Liverpool and Barcelona are in contention for the player, Adrien Rabiot has been touted as a free transfer signing for clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea.
PSG have already embarked on the search for his replacement with Liverpool midfielder Fabinho and Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong targeted by the Paris-based outfit.
Fabinho was forced to address those transfer rumours in his recent interview as he confirmed that he’s happy with his situation at the moment.
