Sarri must act fast! See why he needs to swap Willian for Malcom

Chelsea must be glad that Barcelona are hoping to take away an ageing player off their radar, isn’t it?

The most interesting part of the proposed deal is that a young Malcom — who sparked a great transfer war between two top European clubs, Barcelona and Roma in the summer market — is up for grab at no Cost!

What’s the story

It’s no longer news that Barcelona are interested in signing a 30-year-old Chelsea winger Willian as soon as the next transfer window commences in January.

The Catalans reportedly bid £55m for the Brazilian signature in the summer window but the Blues didn’t think twice before they throw back their offer at them.

The Blues were very much happy with Willian’s display for the team, despite, being sparingly used by Antonio Conte as at then.

After many failed attempts to lure the player to Camp Nou, the desperate Spanish giants sight Malcolm’s initial movement from Bordeaux to Roma and they hijacked the deal from materializing in a very smart and unexpected way — you must say there’s a very influential sportsman behind the youngster’s sudden change of mind.

Not Willian, but Barcelona eventually got a winger before the end of that transaction period and interestingly, they got another Brazilian at a cheaper price of £36m.

After just three months of life at Camp Nou, the 21-year-old winger is definitely regretting his decision to ignore Roma at the 11th hour. This is because he hasn’t been given any time on the pitch. The talents, stars and potentials in the team are just too much for the youngster to overcome in the competition for a place in Valverde’s first eleven.

Just as the youngster, Barcelona are definitely sad with themselves for they allow desperation get the best out of them by going for Malcom without considering the fact that he’s a young, inexperienced player.

The did has been done –as they often say, the Blaugrana are now looking to offload the former Corinthian’s winger in January.

One of their ways to let go of the player, whose rise to stardom was halted by his unplanned move to Camp Nou, is by offering him as a makeshift for Willian’s signature.

According to reports, the Catalans are ready to offer £55m+Malcom to the Blues so as to get the 30-year-old Brazilian in return.

Will Malcom agree to move to Chelsea

Once bitten, twice shy. That must be the proverb ringing in the mind, heart, and ears of the young Brazilian who is now on a mission to rejuvenate his stunted career.

Does Malcom stand a chance to feature more prominently under Sarri, considering the wide range of stars at Stamford Bridge?

  • “I will keep improving,” United’s target says in reaction to speculations

An experienced Victor Moses, who was Conte’s trusted wing-back, couldn’t make the Blues squad list for six consecutive matches in all competitions.

A great midfielder in the person of Danny Drinkwater, who was the force behind Leicester City’s unexpected journey to Premier League glory in 2016, was openly told he has no place in the team.

Gary Cahill, Christensen, Cesc Fabregas, Zappacosta, have all find it so difficult to impress the former Napoli manager at Cobham training ground, hence, they were made to sit regularly on the bench and pray for their chance to come.

If all of these are put into great and patience considerations, It won’t be surprising to see the player ignore Barcelona’s decision to send him down to Chelsea.

Why Chelsea must accept Barca’s proposed offer

As much as Willian is a household name among the Blues faithful, it would be very profitable should they accept the Catalan’s bid for his services.

Willian is in the later stage of his career, his productivity is surely going to experience a fall.

With the assurance that they’re going to get a young, like-for-like, player, Maurizio Sarri shouldn’t be worried about letting go of the 30-year-old star
