Arsenal boss Unai Emery is of the opinion that the Gunners side have got a similar situation as Liverpool and he is willing to draw inspiration from their story.
Just like Emery, German manager Jurgen Klopp took over as Liverpool manager when the club were struggling to deliver as a big club and had lost out of the Champions League.
But that has since changed with the former Borussia Dortmund club reviving the Merseyside club to become a force to reckon with as well as dominating in both the Premier League and the Champions League again.
It would be recalled that Liverpool reached the Champions League finals last season as well as finishing second on the Premier League log table.
Therefore the Gunners manager is of the opinion that his side have found themselves in a similar situation and can, therefore, succeed again in the future.
Emery said it could be difficult to achieve same as Liverpool but noted that there is a need to work hard to be able to achieve, noting that he will approach the mission of a Champions League return by taking the next game seriously.
Meanwhile, the Spanish boss who has returned the Emirates Stadium team back to winning ways stated that his mission this season is to return Arsenal back to Champions League football.
