Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he once snubbed Arsenal when they came seeking for his signature while he was playing in the Ligue 1 with Lyon.
According to Lacazette, he held talks with the North London side but the French outfit insists he will not be allowed to go.
However, Lacazette confessed that his move later came through because he was bent on moving to the next level as at 2017 when he came.
The former Lyon forward, therefore, expressed delight at his joining the club, in addition, making an impact with his goals.
According to the French forward, a player only settles well if he has a good understanding relationship with his teammates and the league which he has been able to achieve.
The Gunners forward has since settled in the team since his arrival in addition to scoring six goals and four assists this season, despite only making nine starts for the club.
However, the North London club might get a new striker following the injury sustained by English international Danny Welbeck.
The Gunners team seem to be getting it right with manager Unai Emery who has helped the team with 15 games unbeaten and they are fifth in the Premier League table.
