Arsenal manager Unai Emery has admitted that he was forced to change his idea on tactics when his side played a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Spanish managers saw his side being roughened by their last week’s opponents in the first half and it was almost unbearable for him until he changed the way he does things.

The North London side managed to force Wolves to a draw with a die minutes goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan which cancelled out Ivan Cavaleiro’s first-half opener.

The former Paris St Germain manager stated that his side were unhappy they had to share points with their opponents but happy they were able to snatch a point having come from behind.

As a result of the pressure from Wolves, Emery changed Arsenal’s shape in the first half by bringing in Matteo Guendouzi to replace Alex Iwobi so as to deploy four midfielders up against Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.

However, Emery hints that more of it should be expected should he find himself in a similar situation as this, because he wants to win and pick more points as he did against Wolves.

Arsenal under the former Sevilla coach have gone 15 games unbeaten this season and they hope to continue the run when they return from the international break next week.

The North London side are currently fifth in the Premier League table.
