The news is finally here and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been appointed as Monaco’s manager.
The former Barcelona striker has been appointed as the manager of French side Monaco with his job expected to begin after the international break.
Before the appointment, Henry was in line to take up the vacant position at Aston Villa but immediately declined when he was assured he would secure an appointment with the French side.
However, Arsenal legend Robert Pires have explained what we should expect from the former Belgium assistant coach who is now the boss himself.
Pires says he backs Henry to have a successful career with the French side and also to make his impact.
It is suggested that the French manager has learnt a lot from Manchester City and former Arsenal managers, Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger respectively.
Most importantly Henry benefitted from the wealth of experience of his boss Roberto Martinez, especially with the World Cup outing.
Henry amongst other factors is convinced to be the right man for the job as well as help the club from its winless streak.
This is the first time Henry will be handling a job as the main manager and not an assistant or a youth coach.
