Liverpool vs Chelsea: key stats, player to watch and prediction

The League Cup now called Carabao League third round will be going down tonight in England as two rivals, Chelsea and Liverpool lock horns.

This match will be a must watch as Sarri Maurizio and the Blues squad will be moving to Anfield to play against Liverpool.

So far, Liverpool have maintained a hundred per cent win and they hope to continue their fine form when they face Chelsea tonight.

The Blues, on the other hand, are yet to suffer a defeat this season except for their recent goalless draw against West Ham on Sunday, which saw them drop from the top of the EPL table to the third spot.

Key Stats

  1.  Liverpool are the most respected club participating in the Carabao League having won it for 8 times.
  2. Chelsea have played a 1 – 1 against the Reds in their last 3 visits to Anfield.
  3.  The Blues last eight coaches have avoided defeat in their first match in the Carabao League.
  4.  Liverpool have not exited from the Carabao League.
  5.  The Reds have won two matches in their last fourteen games against Chelsea and the two wins were at Stamford Bridge.

Player to watch out for

The Key player to watch out from the match is Liverpool star, Xherdan Shaqiri, who is expected to play in place of Mohammed Salah.

Prediction

The game is expected to end in 3 – 1 in favour of Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp would want to maintain his 100 per cent win in this game.

Sarri, on the other hand, will not be bothered if the Blues didn’t win as he is most likely to play young players.
