Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is sure his former side will splash more cash this summer to become a much stronger club before the start of next season.
The former England captain is already tipping his former club to sign more big players at the end of this season after they broke the world-record last January.
Jurgen Klopp’s side won Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night to book a place in the semifinals of the Champions League.
The first-leg tie ended 3-0 at Anfield last week, thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane.
At Etihad, Manchester City scored an early goal that got everyone thinking about the possibility of a comeback.
But Liverpool were able to stop the sky blue club from scoring more goals before they eventually equalised and then scored the winning goal.
Last summer, Liverpool splashed huge cash (over £140 Million) to sign the likes of Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; and they also successfully secured the service of Virgil Van Dijk for £75m from Southampton last January.
Of course, the investments have been yielding good dividends this season, as Liverpool are getting closer to winning the Champions League trophy.
And Gerrard believes the club will go on spending a spending spree to add more qualities to the team this summer.
