Italian Serie A champions Juventus will search for a new right-back when the summer transfer window reopens next year according to reports emanating from Italy that the Old Lady of Italian football will let defender Stephan Lichtsteiner leave for nothing at the end of the current League season. The Swiss International’s current Juventus contract runs out at the end of the current season and the Turin giants are not eager to table him a new contract.
Juventus are already seeking like-for-like replacements for the defender and as per a report by Tuttosport as cited by Ilbianconero, Juve’s summer transfer business may affect Premier League duo of Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Old Lady, in fact, are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin who, however, is not going to depart Emirates Stadium for any fee less than € 30 to 40 million.
The Spain international full-back is contracted with the gunners until 2023 and La Liga giant FC Barcelona are also considering a summer transfer for the 22-year-old.
The Barcelona Academy product is not the only star player on Juventus’ wishlists. Red Devils’s Matteo Darmain is also being closely watched by Juventus and could leave United for a lower transfer fee than that of Bellerin.
