Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not pleased with the scheduling of premier league matches after Champions League away games, and he believes Man United rivals have an advantage in the title race.
Jose Mourinho’s side will clash with CSKA Moscow in Russia on Wednesday and they will have less than 72 hours to get ready for their next premier league game against Crystal Palace on Saturday at Old Trafford.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool also travelled to Russia this week to play with Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night but will have another extra 48 hours to get ready for their game against Newcastle on Sunday.
And the Man United boss Mourinho isn’t pleased with the lack of foresight in the Premier League’s scheduling, feeling his rivals where on the favoured side.
After playing both Benfica and Basel away from home in the remainder of their Champions League group stage games, the red devils will face 3pm Saturday kick-offs against Brighton and Huddersfield – just like things were this week.
And the Telegraph made it known that Jose is annoyed with the lack of preparation Man United have been given compared to Liverpool and Chelsea with other rivals.
Premier league champions Chelsea will have a combined 250 hours for preparation after their three Champions League group stage away games, while Man United will only get around 192 hours.
