According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea star player Eden Hazard is confident the time has come for his side to win the Champions League trophy once more.
Speaking recently about Chelsea’s chances of winning the European elite cup, the Belgium international made it known that he can’t wait to add the Champions League medal to his collection.
Hazard has evolved into one of the best players in England and in the whole of Europe, and after winning the Ligue I title and the premier league trophy, he is looking towards lifting the Champions League trophy too.
The Belgian made his first appearance of the season for the blues when they clashed with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday. They were able to clinch all three points away from home with a 2-1 win over the hosts.
And as quoted by the Evening Standard, the former Lille man made it known that this season is the right time for Chelsea to win the Champions League again, since he felt his side have a good squad and a good manager.
Hazard played a big role in Chelsea’s premier league triumph last season and is one of the most important members at Stamford Bridge. He has been recovering from a long-term injury sustained while representing his country, but is ready to return back into the starting line-up in Conte’s squad.
The talented winger is very likely to get his first start to the season in their Champions League clash against Qarabag on Tuesday night.
