Liverpool star player Ben Woodburn has been quite impressive recently, and there are new reports that the Merseyside club are set to give him a new improved deal that will keep his mind at Anfield, so he won’t be lured away by other clubs.
The Wales hero is currently receiving £40k-per-year, but the Mirror are reporting that he is set to receive a pay-increase that will see him go home with £25,000 each week.
It was however added that the new deal will only come into life when the youngster turns 18 in November. After his 18th birthday, he will be allowed to officially put pen to paper for the deal.
Liverpool are a club who deal with youngsters with great care, with the intention of avoiding doing things ignorantly that could hurt the player’s career in the future.
The Reds avoided placing young players on high wages so as not to diminish their ambition by giving them too much money too soon, and making them concentrate more on the game than their pockets.
However, 17-year-old Woodburn impressed greatly for his country this week in their World Cup qualifiers and has scooped lots of attention to himself.
The teenager came off the bench to score just minute into his senior Wales debut Vs Austria and gave an assist against Moldova too.
