Wenger set to anger fans as Arsenal place £90m on quartet

According to the Telegraph, Arsenal are prepared to cash in on four players for a combined transfer fee of £90m, but manager Arsene Wenger isn’t planning on replacing them this summer.

The Arsenal manager has suggested recently that he was not thinking about bringing in any more players until he’d sold his deadwood as he felt the team was too large.

The pair of Lucas Perez and Kieran Gibbs are first team squad members that are expected to leave this summer, and it seems like they are finally about completing transfers away from the Emirate Stadium.

Kieran Gibbs has been at the North London club since joining the youth system back in 2004, but he’s struggled to seal a first team place and is looking to go following the summer arrival of Sead Kolasinac this summer transfer window.

Premier League club Watford has shown renewed interest and the same Publication claim a £7m transfer fee is now in the offing, so it seems like Gibbsy will leave.

It’s been a frustrating debut campaign at the club for Perez after failing to seal his place in the squad following his transfer from Spanish La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna last season and transfer back to Spain in a deal reportedly worth £14m is expected to happen before the window slam shut on deadline day.

The unpredicted sale of Shkodran Mustafi might also happen this summer. Reports indicate Inter Milan are eyeing Mustafi.

The Arsenal boss is also prepared to make another rather controversial decision as the Telegraph claims the French tactician is set to sanction the £35m sale of England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and not replace him.

The Ox has turned down an improved deal despite the North London club offering him huge amounts of money.
