Man Utd set To hijack Liverpool’s £65m Move for star player

Manchester United are showing a keen interest in signing Naby Keita and are ready to hijack Liverpool’s efforts to secure a £65m deal with his Bundesliga club.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been pursuing Keita all summer, and the Liverpool boss is ‘hell bent’ to make the African his third major signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of Englishman Dominic Solanke and Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

The Reds are yet to agree a deal with the German outfit but the publication claim they are set to submit a fresh £65m bid this week after seeing a former £57m bid turned down by  RB Leipzig.

It seems Liverpool are already preparing for the Guinea international’s arrival by freeing up space in their team, with Brazilian Lucas Leiva set to join Serie A club Lazio in a £5m deal.

However, the Merseysiders could yet face some late battle as the Express are claiming Premier League giant Manchester United have now identified the African as a target of their own.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is searching for a long-term replacement for aging Michael Carrick – who turns 36 later in the month – and the Red Devils have been linked with a couple of central midfielders recently.

But it seems the midfielder is now on Mourinho’s radar, and the report indicates that the Old Trafford club could now attempt to hijack Liverpool’s efforts to sign the versatile midfielder from under Liverpool’s noses.

If utd go for keita l bet they get the business, done without any dramas. Are LFC really going for these 2 top targets, or are we being conned. Next season we will have nothing to offer them, as we won’t win anything not with this squad. We are going backwards as a club, team’s are going away from us in size, stature and football in general. We really need to compete this year more than ever, in all aspects of the game ie transfers just pay the market price.
