Chelsea Transfer News: Expected Lineup Next Season + Potential Signings

A few weeks back, the Premier League fixtures for next season campaign was released.

Premier League champions Chelsea will host Burnley at Stamford Bridge, and they will be looking to kick-start the season with a victory at home.

Unfortunately, the Blues will be without star attacker Eden Hazard as the Belgian forward had to undergo surgery on his ankle after suffering an injury while on international duty.

However, despite Eden’s unavailability, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is likely to field a starting line-up featuring new signings.

Everton forward Romelu Lukaku is the blues primary target, and the Belgium international seem close to agreeing on a deal to move to Stamford Bridge. The Italian manager is also keen on improving his midfield and wing back positions.

This is how we expect Chelsea line up on the first day of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.

GOALKEEPER: Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian goalie remains the No. 1 at Stamford Bridge. Second- choice Asmir Begovic is off to Bournemouth but is expected to be replaced by former Man City’s Willy Caballero.

THE THREE CENTER BACKS: Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Gary Cahill

Even though legend John Terry is quitting and Chelsea have been linked with other center-backs (like Bonucci and Van Dijk) as r a placement for the Englishman, it is unlikely that any of the duo will make the move to Stamford Bridge. So, we can expect Conte to continue his trust in the trio.

RIGHT WINGBACK: Victor Moses

Should Dani Alves decide to join Chelsea, Conte tactic would be different. But Alves is keen on reuniting with his former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

LEFT WINGBACK: Alex Sandro

The Brazilian star is reportedly on his way to making a £61M move from Juventus anytime soon.

CENTER MIDFIELD: N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko

Kante is still the man, and Bakayoko is very close to a move.

LEFT FORWARD: Willian

Well, at least before Eden Hazard’s arrival…

RIGHT FORWARD: Pedro

The former Barcelona player was impressive last season. We expect Conte to remain confident in him.

CENTER FORWARD: Romelu Lukaku

The main man! Expected to be reunited with his beloved Chelsea any time soon!
