After Begovic Switch, Another Chelsea Star Set To Join Rival Premier League Club

In the ‘blink of an eye’, premier league champions Chelsea had pushed two of their stars to other premier league clubs. First was Solanke to Liverpool, then some hours later, Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth.

And it appears there is more to be seen…

According to new reports, Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has made it known that he is set to leave the west London club on loan to secure regular first-team football elsewhere.

Chelsea signed Michy from Marseille in July 2016 in a deal worth £33M. Despite being an outstanding player at Marseille, the Belgian star struggled to make a significant impact in Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi endured a frustrating first season at Chelsea due to Antonio Conte’s continual preference of the trio of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, and Pedro Rodriguez up front.
Michy started just one Premier League game this term, and it came only after the Blues had already secured the title.

And his lack of playing time could open the door for a season-long loan in another club, with the Belgium international said he is open to the idea.

It is unlikely that the premier league champions will sell him on a permanent basis, as his performances towards the end of the season may have convinced the manager that he is good enough for them.

West Ham’s Interests…

West Ham tried to sign him last summer but lost his signature. Right now, they are said to be interested in him to bolster their attacking department.

A season-long experience elsewhere in the Premier League could enable Antonio to judge whether the 23-year-old is worth keeping in the long-term.
