Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho returns to his former club at Stamford Bridge for the second time after he and his United men lost 4-0 in the Premier League earlier this season.

Now a a semi-final place is at stake and Cahill is pleased to be playing in front of his own fans at Stamford Bridge.

The defender has been impressed with Antonio Conte’s management style and says the manager’s desire and work ethic has rubbed off on the Chelsea players.

Chelsea have enjoyed an impressive first season under Conte after he took over the reins from interim boss Guus Hiddink last summer.

The Stamford Bridge outfit won their opening three Premier League games before failing to win any of their three fixtures in the English top flight in September.

The former Juventus manager settled on a 3-4-3 formation following a 3-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in their sixth game of the season and they haven’t looked back since that London derby defeat.

The west London club have lost just one of their last 21 games to build a commanding 10-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

And speaking about Conte’s impact at Stamford Bridge since his appointment as manager last summer, the defender was full of praise for the former Italy and Juventus coach, hailing him for injecting his ideas.

“It’s hard to say what drastically changed, just [Conte’s] ideas and the way he sees football being played in terms of formation, we have just adapted to that.”
