Report: Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte Wants This Player In His Squad Next Season

Chelsea Boss Want This Star Back At Stamford Bridge.

Former Juventus boss and current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants Andreas Christensen back at Chelsea this summer, according to reports.

Acording to the Daily Mail,  Andreas Christensen who is on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach is set to slot into Chelsea’s first-team squad.

He has spent the past two seasons on loan in Germany, successfully getting almost 70 senior appearances and drawing widespread acclaim.

And his father who also doubles as his adviser, Sten, revealed back in January that the Bundesliga side are keen to keep hold of him for the long-term. The player is currently in the middle of his second season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach

“Chelsea manager will include Andreas Christensen in his first-team plans next season.”

Christensen Sr told Danish newspaper BT: “They would like to buy Andreas.”

However, it seems the west London club have made their mind up on where Christensen’s future lies – at least for the 2017/18 campaign.

The Daily Mail also suggest that the 20-year-old will be afforded the opportunity to compete for a place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI.

It was also indicated that the Stamford Bridge club are set to quote a hefty asking price if anyone interested in signing Christensen should come calling.

Chelsea’s Italian boss has been linked with a number of potential defensive recruits since succeeding Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho in the Stamford Bridge position.

But it now looks like the blues are going to look to avoid adding to their backline outlay by giving the youngster the chance to shine.

Nigerian international Victor Moses has become a vital part of Antonio Conte’s team this current campaign after three years out on loan. We wonder if Christensen could follow in his footsteps.
