Impressive Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is confident that his side will be ready when they are hosted by Manchester United on Sunday. Klopp thinks despite the distraction of their game against Southampton in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final, they are still fine.
Klopp presently has a handful of issues at hands. Players like Joel Matip, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Philippe Coutinho are all making their way back from injuries ahead of their long journey to the south coast.
The Reds boss fielded the youngest Liverpool side since 1965 in the FA Cup third round on Sunday afternoon as his side were held to a goalless draw with Plymouth.
Liverpool drew Sunderland in their last premier league match at the Stadium of Light with a 2-2 tie. The draw made them miss out on the chance to move to within three points of title leader Chelsea in the race.
Nevertheless, Klopp is confident that he will have no trouble getting his side ready for the important clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this coming Sunday afternoon.
“Manchester United is a game like the Everton games, you can pick them out of the season and it’s always a special game,” Klopp said at Melwood on Monday afternoon.
“It’s not important when it is, how much the point difference is, it’s a derby and you need to be ready for this. We will be ready but, first of all, we have to play Southampton.”
