Barcelona President Josep Bartomeu has revealed that Paul Pogba would have been at the Camp Nuo when he was leaving the Italian Serie A outfit Juventus but they could not compete with Man United for his signature.
There is no doubt that Barcelona are major suitors of the World Cup winner as they are reported to have held meetings with his agent Mino Raiola and an agreement was almost reached but they had to back down after the Red Devils agreed to pay the sum of £90 million for his signature.
The Barcelona president admitted that Paul Pogba is a great player and has made the team a better one to compete for titles, noting that he is a major wish of the club.
However, there are suggestions that Paul Pogba is already pushing for a move away from the Old Trafford and seems to be moving to another La Liga side Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Real Madrid are reported to have launched an “operation Pogba” and they will attempt to sign the World Cup winner as soon as the transfer window is reopened with manager Zinedine Zidane claiming that he would like to work with him.
