Liverpool FC yesterday hosted Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade at Anfield for their third match in the Uefa Champions League last night.
The game ended in a devastating defeat for the visiting side with Liverpool getting all three points with four goals to nothing.
Liverpool have so far won two of their three matches in the Champions League ( against PSG and Red Star Belgrade) having lost to Napoli.
It is, however, surprising to note that the two wins Liverpool have had so far in the UCL have been at Anfield.
The match against Red Star Belgrade turned out to be Liverpool’s midfielder, Fabinho first start in the UCL.
Fabinho was able to get his chance after the absence of Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson.
However, the Brazil star turned out to be brilliant for the Reds last night as he put up some great performance in the midfield.
The game showed that Fabinho is more than just a defensive midfielder, he has a high ferocity to retrieve the ball and was seen moving forward every time he wins the ball back.
Last night saw the former Monaco midfielder won 18 of his 24 duels, nine tackles and he also completed 80 passes.
