Premier League leaders Liverpool could sign one of their transfer targets in a cut-price deal in this transfer window according to various reports coming out of the British media.
German international attacker Timo Werner has been touted as a potential signing for the Reds this season and the Daily Mirror is certain that Liverpool can get him for just £36m with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.
Timo Werner plays his club football for German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and he could leave the club this month with his current deal scheduled to expire in the summer of 2020.
His form this season has led to interests from other European clubs.
Liverpool have been linked with him heavily and latest reports claim that Champions League holders Real Madrid are also interested in him.
Timo Werner has scored 11 goals for RB Leipzig in all competitions in this Campaign.
In total, he has netted 14 times in 25 appearances for club and country this season.
He has done well to recover from a very poor World Cup for him and Germany.
Timo Werner failed to score or assist a goal as Germany surprisingly crashed out of last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in the group stage.
