French boss Arsene Wenger has left the North London outfit Arsenal since the end of last season but latest reports hint that he still has an influence in decision makings at the Emirates Stadium.
According to the report, the former boss has given his nod for the appointment of French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille chief Andoni Zubizarreta as the new sporting director.
The North London outfit have been in the search for a new technical director since the departure of Sven Mislintat as they have not been able to secure a replacement for him after missing out on AS Roma chief Monchi who is now with Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.
An L’Equipe report reveals that Andoni Zubizarreta is already tempted to leave the Ligue 1 outfit after learning the interests from Arsenal.
The report, therefore, claims that former manager Arsene Wenger has been speaking with the Kroenkes on the move as he suggests that the football chief will be a good addition.
Andoni Zubizarreta has got a reputation of signing big names, especially when he was at the Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona as he ensured the signature of Luis Suarez, Neymar and others before leaving the club for the Ligue 1.
