Premier League giants Chelsea are eyeing a move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie according to reports emanating from the media in Italy.
Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that the Blues want to sign Ivorian international Kessie and that his move could be funded by Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko are on the books of Italian Serie A giants AC Milan at the moment though Bakayoko is on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea having joined the Rossoneri at the start of this campaign.
Tiemoue Bakayoko didn’t start his career at AC Milan on a good note last summer but the French midfielder impressing for AC Milan in the last few weeks.
He joined AC Milan on a loan contract that could be made permanent for just €35m at the end of the loan deal.
Chelsea loanee Bakayoko is now ahead of €40m-rated Franck Kessie in the midfield pecking order at AC Milan and Chelsea want to take him off the Italians.
He had earlier joined Chelsea after a stellar season with French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco at the start of last season in a deal reported to be around £40m.
His debut Chelsea campaign was nothing to write home about which explains why he has been farmed out on loan again.
