Manchester United star Andreas Pereira is in the news again as reports suggest the player might be switching allegiance from United to any of the teams in London as two top sides from that part of the country have signalled interest in signing the player.
According to reports, Arsenal and Chelsea will rival each other in the race to sign the Manchester United and Brazil midfielder in the January window.
The player has been out of favour this campaign and has failed to rack up appearances under Jose Mourinho, with the 22-year-old only managing to amass 170 minutes of game time in all competitions.
Despite a lack of regular game time in the ongoing season, the player’s talent has constantly made him a constant discourse on the lips of top clubs with a lot of them being of potential suitors, as the Mirror have unveiled that both Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing the midfielder.
The report from the Mirror also states that Pereira’s deal at Old Trafford runs out in the summer and that the Red Devils are ready to sell the player.
It’s unsure as to why either Arsenal or Chelsea would want to sign Pereira, as both clubs have more than enough options to choose from in the centre of the park.
If Pereira is after first-team football, it may be worth looking abroad in order to find a new club, however, that doesn’t look likely, as the Mirror’s report notes that the 22-year-old is determined to stay in England.
